Business Interface Points of Contact (BIC)

The BIC role supports specific transactions and table entries of MMARS along with information dissemination and on-going feedback. These users:

Have knowledge of the specific transactions and table entries being interfaced into and out of MMARS.

Manage the creation or approval of processing a given interface file in MMARS or oversee the staff who do.

Understand file reasonableness, i.e. if the system has potential issues that can be caught prior to authorization.

Have the authority to log into MMARS to correct business rule errors on transactions.

Technical Interface Points of Contact (TIC)

The TIC role supports the coordination of input on technical information about the Agency’s systems. These users:

Provide information regarding current financial system interfaces to MMARS.
Provide information on reporting, data analytics and business intelligence needs of the Agency, both current and in the future.
Keep the BEST Program informed about Agency technology initiatives that may affect the BEST Program.
Assist the program by directing us to appropriate parties when the program needs specific information or involvement from your Agency on technical issues.
Work with the BEST program to ensure that the Agency’s unique data and system security needs are met.
